WSG members have worked diligently to advocate on key issues recently that have resulted in positive legislative outcomes.

  • Tuition Freeze — WSG successfully argued to prevent a tuition freeze be applied to the Wisconsin Technical College System for at least the two year budget biennium.
  • Historic Increase to the WTCS biennium budget of $24 million, a $12 million increase to the General Purpose Revenue each year of the biennium budget.
  • Transfer Credit between the WTCS and UW-System — Legislation increased the minimum number of General Education course credits from 30 to 72 credits. The legislation also requires program to program articulation agreements and that the systems promote, support and work collaboratively on transfer agreements.
